By using Notary Kite you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before creating an account or using any platform features.
1. Platform Role & Nature
Notary Kite is a technology marketplace that connects customers who need notarization services with independent, certified notary publics. Notary Kite does not itself perform notarizations or act as a notary authority. All notarial services are performed by independent notary publics who are commissioned in their respective states and listed on the platform.
2. Eligibility & Account Creation
You must be at least 18 years old to use Notary Kite. All notaries who register must hold a valid, current notary commission in their state. You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
3. Notary Memberships & Billing
Notaries who join Notary Kite may select a paid membership tier (Bronze $5/month or Pro $9/month). Subscriptions are billed monthly and automatically renew until cancelled. All payments are processed securely by Stripe. Refunds are handled at the discretion of Notary Kite management. Notaries are independent contractors and not employees, agents, or partners of Notary Kite.
4. Notary Commission Verification
Notaries are required to provide their commission number and expiration date upon registration. Notary Kite displays commission numbers on notary profiles as a trust signal to customers. Notaries are responsible for maintaining a current, valid commission and for promptly updating their profile if their commission status changes. Notary Kite does not independently verify commissions with state authorities but reserves the right to remove listings for notaries whose commissions are reported as invalid or expired.
5. Communication Monitoring
All in-app communications between customers and notaries on the Notary Kite platform are stored and may be monitored by Notary Kite for purposes including safety, quality assurance, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution. By creating an account and using the platform, you explicitly consent to this monitoring and storage of communications.
6. Geolocation
Notary Kite requests access to your device's GPS location for the purpose of matching customers with nearby certified notaries. Location is requested once at the time of job submission and is not continuously tracked or stored. The customer's exact address is only shared with the specific notary who accepts the job.
7. Pricing & Fees
Notary Kite allows notaries to set their own prices for services. Estimated fees shown to customers prior to booking are based on the notary's listed pricing and are not guaranteed. Final pricing is set by the individual notary. Notary Kite does not currently charge transaction fees to customers or notaries beyond the monthly membership subscription.
8. Limitation of Liability
Notary Kite is not liable for errors made by independent notaries, documents rejected by government authorities, processing delays, disputes between customers and notaries, or any consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Our maximum liability is limited to the subscription fee paid in the calendar month of the incident.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use Notary Kite to engage in fraudulent activity, misrepresent your notary commission status, conduct business off-platform with users you met through Notary Kite, spam other users, or reverse engineer the platform.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts of Bexar County, Texas.

This Privacy Policy explains how Notary Kite, operated by Noah Greenwood in San Antonio, Texas, collects, uses, and protects your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when creating an account: full name, email address, and phone number. For notaries, we additionally collect your commission number, commission expiration date, state, city, service radius, and pricing information. We also collect one-time GPS location data at the time of job submission (not stored continuously), in-app communications, and payment information processed by Stripe (we never store card numbers).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to match customers with certified notaries in their area, to process notary subscription payments, to send job notifications and alerts to notaries, to verify notary commission information, to resolve disputes and ensure platform safety, and to improve the Notary Kite platform.
3. Location Data — Important
Customer GPS location is requested one time when a job is submitted, solely for the purpose of identifying the customer's city and matching them with nearby notaries. We do not continuously track your location. Your precise GPS coordinates are used temporarily for city detection and are not stored long-term. The customer's city (not exact address) is used to match with nearby notaries. The customer's exact address is only shared with the specific notary who accepts the job, and only at the moment of acceptance.
4. Information Sharing
We share your contact information and job details with the notary who accepts your request. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We use Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), and Firebase (push notifications) — all bound by their own privacy policies.
5. Communication Storage & Monitoring
All in-app messages sent on the Notary Kite platform are stored and may be reviewed by Notary Kite staff for safety and dispute resolution. By using the platform you consent to this storage. This is consistent with industry standards on all marketplace platforms.
6. Push Notifications
Notaries may opt into push notifications to receive real-time job alerts. Push notification tokens are stored in our database linked to your notary profile. You may disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.
7. Data Security
Your data is stored in Supabase with row-level security. Passwords are encrypted. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified). We never store raw credit card numbers.
8. Your Rights
You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing [email protected]. Requests are processed within 30 days.
9. Children's Privacy
Notary Kite is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
